London was amazing! I had a wonderful time seeing so many different sites and staying with a dear friend, Lauren.
Our first day in London, we began the day with a savoury English breakfast and tea before Lauren went to class. My friends and I then visited the British Museum for a couple hours. After class, Lauren took us to see Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, the Somerset House, Westminster Abbey, and we walked by the London Eye. We also saw some of King's College campus since that's where Lauren goes to school. We had burgers, fries, and milkshakes for dinner that night, and I don't think anything could have made us happier. It was delicious!

Our second day in England, we visited the Warner Brothers' studio and did the Harry Potter set tour. It was so cool. See Facebook for more pictures.
Our third day, we went back to the British Museum. It is so large and holds so many historical objects it took us five collective hours to see it. We didn't even see everything! My favorite objects were the Canaanite jars we saw, because they were like those jars used at the Canaanite wedding. And that's cool. I also saw Cleopatra's mummy self, parts of the Parthenon from Greece, and the Rosetta Stone. And yes, the Canaanite jars were still my favorite. After seeing the super cool jars, we ate a cute pub and headed to St. Paul's Cathedral. That place is gorgeous. I was so excited to be in a Protestant cathedral for the first time this trip. We listened to the audio tour all around the building and then climbed all the way to the top! I got some lovely pictures of the views despite the wind. It was a fun day.
Our fourth day in London was very long. They were all long days, but this one was particularly tiring. We got up early to go see the Tower of London. We went inside and saw the Crown Jewels. They were very magnificent. After the Tower of London we went to Buckingham Palace to watch the Changing of the Guards. After carefully balancing my feet on this tiny ledge of the palace and sitting half of my weight on Caity's shoulder, I managed to see part of the guards in the band walk in and out of the gate. Woohoo. Very exciting. After the palace, where I barely saw the guards and didn't see Will or Kate either *tears*, we went to the Royal Observatory in Greenwich to see the prime meridian. I stood in two hemispheres at once while feeling very tired and cranky. All of the pictures are truly lovely, but, being honest, traveling is exhausting. Perhaps it was being in two places at once that really did me in. Either way, it was pretty cool and I'm glad we went despite the exhaustion.
The fifth day in England, we went to see Stonehenge. The journey there was indeed a journey. The rain and wind made the car move on the road. Freaky. We got there and it was so cold and the wind was so strong, I think we maybe spent 10 minutes near the stones themselves. I took some pictures and videos, turns out you can only hear the wind not anything I'm saying, which basically proved my point. It was a very fun adventure, one we are already laughing about.
I thoroughly enjoyed London, and I hope to go back someday when it's a bit warmer.
Cheers!
